It's day two of GlobalShop 2012 and the energy is buzzing. Thousands of retailers and vendors are connecting to make retail history. We decided to sit down with a few of them to find out what they're enjoying most about GlobalShop thus far, and what innovation and inspiration they're experiencing on the show floor.

And the Best in Show booth winner is ... drumroll please ...
Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based Judith von Hopf!!! Selected as the Best in Show booth winner for GlobalShop 2012 by the editors of DDI Magazine, this whimsical booth is located in the Visual Merchandising Show pavilion (Booth 2822). Its eye-catching design features flowers and other décor artfully crafted from paper and hand-assembled. Describing the booth concept, Melissa von Hopf, president of the company, says: “We wanted to create a mystical forest, with a modern side and classical side.”

The serene white setting inside Judith Von Hopf’s booth also attracted attention. Melissa Hopf, vp, JVH California (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.), says that less than two weeks before the show opening, the company decided to replace a more colorful presentation with a winter wonderland. “We wanted to showcase more paper,” says Hopf. The nearly all-white booth (one striking red flower stood out in the corner) included a sand castle, paper flowers, trees and garland.
